Specialist Support for Families Experiencing
Child-to-Parent Aggression
We want every family to feel safe and no child to feel they have to use aggression and/or harmful behaviours towards a parent or caregiver to communicate their needs
When a child or young person’s behaviour becomes aggressive, harmful or difficult to manage, family life can feel overwhelming. Parents and carers often feel isolated, judged or unsure where to turn.
Capa provides compassionate, specialist and non-blaming support to help families understand what is happening, increase safety, rebuild confidence and strengthen relationships.
We support families with children and young people up to 18, and up to 25 where there is diagnosed or suspected neurodivergence.
You do not have to manage this alone. Support is available.
Our Vision:
To stop harmful and/or aggressive behaviour in the home from a child or adolescent towards a parent or caregiver; For no parent or caregiver to feel alone in their experience and for whole families to have access to the support they need to improve their family situation.
Our Mission:
To facilitate development of a nation-wide network of consistent, accessible, quality support for families, and to raise awareness amongst families and professionals around children/adolescents who use harmful and/or aggressive behaviour towards a parent/carer.
